The cheapest GST API in India

₹0.50 per GSTIN verification, dropping to ₹0.40 once a single purchase crosses 2,500 credits. One call returns the registration record and GSTR filing history, so that is the price of an answered question rather than the price of half of one. No subscription, no minimum spend, no contract, and nobody to talk to before you get a key.

We would rather you checked that claim than believed it. The page below gives you the arithmetic for comparing any two GST APIs honestly, our numbers run through it, and the places where we are not the right choice.

Two rates, no plans

There is no tier table to decode and no feature withheld behind a higher plan. Everyone calls the same endpoint and gets the same response; the only thing that changes is the rate per credit.

Pay-as-you-go

₹0.50/verification

Under 2,500 credits

  • No subscription
  • No minimum spend
  • Buy any amount
  • 20 free credits to start

Bulk

₹0.40/verification

2,500+ credits in one purchase

  • Same API, same response
  • No contract to sign
  • Triggered by purchase size
  • Best for vendor-master runs

Full terms, including credit expiry, are on the pricing page.

What your volume costs

Straight arithmetic on the two published rates. The bulk column applies when the credits come from a single purchase of 2,500 or more — the discount is triggered by purchase size, not by a contract.

Why the effective price is lower than the rate suggests

Most of the gap between an advertised GST API rate and the invoice comes from four billing choices. Ours are set the other way, which is where the real saving lives.

One call, whole record

Registration details and GSTR filing history come back in the same response. No second endpoint, no second charge — so the rate you see is the rate per answered question.

Failures are not billed

A GSTIN that fails format or check-digit validation never reaches upstream and never costs a credit. If our upstream source errors and you get a 502, that is our bad day, not your invoice.

No subscription, ever

No monthly fee, no minimum spend, no annual commitment, no notice period. Your cost tracks your usage, which is the point of pay-as-you-go.

No sales gate

Sign up, verify your email, generate a key, call the endpoint. Twenty free credits are already on the account, and they work against real GSTINs rather than fixtures.

How to check the claim yourself

Every GST API says it is the cheapest, so the word is worth nothing without a method. Rank vendors on effective cost per useful verification: total annual spend, plus credits you will not get to use, plus any subscription floor you will not consume, divided by the number of verifications that actually answered your question.

  1. 1. Count calls per answer. If filing history needs a second call, double the headline rate before comparing.
  2. 2. Add the floor. Twelve months of any minimum you cannot avoid belongs in the numerator whether you use it or not.
  3. 3. Subtract nothing for expiry. Credits you lose were still paid for.
  4. 4. Remove wasted calls from the denominator — duplicates, invalid GSTINs, and anything billed that did not return an answer.
  5. 5. Only then compare. And test correctness first, because a cheap wrong answer has negative value.

The long version, with the four pricing models normalised onto one number, is on the GST API price comparison page and in cheapest GSTIN API: how to verify the claim.

Where we are not the cheapest answer

Three cases, stated plainly, because a page that claims to win everywhere is not worth reading.

  • You need to check one GSTIN, once. Use the free GST number search — five a day, no signup, no card. Paying for an API key to answer one question is overhead.
  • You need to file, not verify. Returns, e-invoices and e-way bills run through a licensed GST Suvidha Provider with the taxpayer's own authorisation. That is a different product; see GST API access.
  • You verify millions of GSTINs a year. At that scale a negotiated enterprise rate elsewhere may beat ₹0.40 on unit price. Ask us for a volume rate before assuming it, and ask for a raised rate limit at the same time.

Cheapest GST API — common questions

GSTIN API charges ₹0.50 per verification pay-as-you-go and ₹0.40 per verification once a single purchase crosses 2,500 credits, with registration details and GSTR filing history returned in the same call and no subscription attached. We believe that is the lowest published effective rate available for a response of that depth, and the fair way to check it is to divide each competing vendor's smallest honest commitment by the verifications it buys and compare those numbers.
Only when the data is correct. Price is the last tiebreak after freshness and response depth, because a stale Active status on a cancelled registration costs more than every API call you will ever make. Test correctness first on GSTINs whose status you already know, then compare on price.
Use effective cost per useful verification: total annual spend divided by the verifications that actually answered your question. That absorbs subscription floors, credit expiry, billable error responses and any second call needed to fetch filing history — the four things that make headline rates non-comparable.
There is no free government GST verification API for programmatic use. Commercial free tiers exist and are the right tool for evaluating a provider, and this site offers five free public lookups a day with no signup plus 20 free API credits after email verification. Beyond evaluation volume, the per-call rate is the number that matters.
No. The ₹0.40 rate depends only on a single credit purchase crossing 2,500 credits. There is nothing to sign, no minimum monthly spend and no notice period, and you never have to speak to anyone to get an API key.
Purchased credits carry the expiry period shown at the time of purchase, and free signup credits expire 30 days after being issued. Unused credits are non-refundable, so size each purchase to a quarter or two of realistic usage rather than to a full year of forecast.
Yes. Bulk verification calls the same single endpoint once per GSTIN from your own queue, and every one of those calls is billed at whatever rate your credit balance was bought at. Deduplicating and locally validating the list before the run removes further calls at no cost.
One successful verification returning legal and trade name, registration status and status dates, constitution and taxpayer type, centre and state jurisdiction, principal and additional places of business, e-invoicing enablement, and per-period GSTR filing history with ARNs.
