1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using GSTIN API's GST verification services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access our services.

2. API usage and credits

Our service operates on a credit-based system:

  • New users receive 20 free credits after verifying their email address.
  • Each GSTIN verification request consumes one credit.
  • Free signup credits expire 30 days after being issued.
  • Purchased credit packages carry the expiry period shown at the time of purchase.
  • Unused credits are non-refundable.

3. API access and security

Users are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the confidentiality of their API keys.
  • All activity that occurs under their API keys.
  • Implementing appropriate security measures on their own systems.
  • Reporting any unauthorized use or suspected security breach promptly.

4. Service availability

Availability is governed by our Service Level Agreement, which states the committed monthly uptime, how downtime is measured, what is excluded, and the service credits available when we miss it. What we have actually measured is published on the status page. Subject to that agreement:

  • We do not guarantee uninterrupted access to our services.
  • We reserve the right to modify or discontinue features with reasonable notice.
  • We are not liable for service interruptions or data loss beyond our reasonable control.

5. Data usage and privacy

We handle data in accordance with our Privacy Policy. In summary, we only collect information necessary to operate the service, apply industry-standard security measures, do not sell your data to third parties, and comply with applicable data protection laws.

6. Prohibited uses

Users must not:

  • Attempt to bypass API rate limits or access restrictions.
  • Use the service for any unlawful purpose.
  • Share, sell, or sublicense API access credentials.
  • Reverse engineer the API or its underlying systems.

7. Termination

We reserve the right to:

  • Suspend or terminate access for violation of these terms.
  • Modify these terms, with notice, as the service evolves.
  • Cancel accounts engaged in suspicious or abusive activity.
